Finally tried Teppan-Yaki Express at Tampines Central 5 after seeing the queue so many times .. Food was honestly quite solid, but the service experience was very interesting lol { Food } Teppan YAY Above average Good Okay Sad hotplate { Beef } HOLYYYY Beef Tender and tasty Good Average Cow regret { Veg } Cabbage CARNAGE Nicely cooked Good Okay Veg depression { Soup } LIFE CHANGING Simple and nice Good Average Water cosplay { Service } Warm and friendly Okay Confusing Quite bad Service? CAN EAT ONE?? The food itself was pretty good!! Sliced beef with chilli and garlic had nice flavour, bean sprouts were decent, and I liked that soup was refillable They even topped up extra bean sprouts, which was a nice gesture But service was really strange Pay first, sit down, then nobody explains anything while everyone just waits for the place to fill up Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Situated in the basement of Tampines Mall, Express Teppanyaki had been here for ages. Their signature black pepper sauce is a total nostalgia for me. Had the beef set with my son, it’s 15.00 SGD per set. Don’t be shy to ask for more black pepper sauce if you want. The set comes with bean sprouts, green vegetables, white rice and a bowl of plain soup. Although the staff seem very “fierce” but they are actually quite nice people. Come try it for yourself, it’s worth it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

First time trying since i don't always had teppanyaki, hence, not sure, if this good or not bad or so so, but overall was ok. A little pricey for the portion but still acceptable. Has the sirloin set and maybe will try the combo meat-seafood next time. Soup can be topped up. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
