My friend and i arrived famished, we ordered a pizza and a pasta. The waitress told us it might take a while, around 20mins for both. Understandably, as we were very hungry we ordered a salad that we could munch on as we wait for the mains. Well, the salad arrived and the lettuce wasnt fresh at all, it was brown and soggy. The dressing was quite tasty but I find this very disappointing as this simple salad without any added vegetables/meat costs around hkd200. And within 2mins of the salad’s arrival, both our pizza and pasta arrived at the same time. So we didnt actually have to order this overpriced and not even fresh appetizer. High end Italian food under black sheep. You already know it will be guaranteed quality but expensive. Starting with the food. We ordered three pizza's and two pastas. The pizza is sensational, highlighted by an excellent dough which is airy yet charred in flavour. The toppings are high quality and spread in a good ratio. My favourite was the fungi pizza which was a refreshing change from heavy meat and tomato bases. The pastas are good too but don't stand out as much as the pizza. The main issue will be the price. Starting at minimum HKD 240 for a pizza (plus service charge!), it's just too expensive. I understand that this is the Hong Kong dining environment, but it's hard to justify these prices and no wonder hospitality is facing significant competition from Shenzhen. Service is decent, but for what you are paying you would want it to be exceptional. Overall, it is quality but just being prepared to pay. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: HK$250–300

Falcone IFC has a cute, lively environment, but it is not the most restful place to dine. The music is quite loud, so talking comfortably can be difficult, and when the room gets busy the shouting of “buonasera” adds to the noise rather than the atmosphere. The pizza is okay overall. It was very well cooked, though one side was unevenly burned, which took away slightly from the experience. The toppings were tasty, but the dough was only average. At Falcone, a margherita is listed at HK$258, while comparable margheritas are shown from HK$118 at Motorino, which makes the pricing feel especially hard to justify. For the quality, it does not stand out much compared with other pizza spots in Hong Kong, including Fiata and Vincenzo. For me, it is not worth the money.
