A Stunning Discovery at Flames – And I’m Already Going Back! I honestly didn’t expect to be this blown away when I walked into Flames last month, but I am still thinking about that meal. From the very first bite, it was clear this wasn’t just another dinner, it was a full-blown flavour experience, and I absolutely loved every second of it. For the "Small Bite" to start, I went straight for the "Sichuan Spicy Chicken Wings", and wow, they were a glorious balance of numbing heat and sticky, caramelised sweetness that had me reaching for more before I’d even finished the first one. My partner grabbed the "Deep Fried Crab Claw with Tartar Sauce", which was incredibly golden and delicate, setting the stage perfectly for the feast to come. Then came the main event, the "Big Bite," and this is where Flames truly stole my heart. I threw caution to the wind and ordered the "Crispy Pork Knuckle" (the +49 supplement was worth every single penny). It arrived as a colossal, golden-brown tower of crackling perfection, the skin shattering beautifully while the meat inside was impossibly tender and juicy. To complement it, I couldn't resist the "Salty Egg Carbonara Fusili Lunghi Bucati" a rich, unctuous twist on the Roman classic that was pure, savory umami heaven. Every mouthful was an absolute triumph of texture and taste, and we had some salads and pizza on the side as well. To finish, the "Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream" was the perfect sweet embrace, warm, gooey, and utterly decadent. I was so thoroughly impressed that I didn't hesitate for a second, I already booked my table for this coming Friday at 7 PM. I'm already counting down the hours to try that "Peking Duck Pizza" and the "NZ Ribeye Steak" that caught my eye on the menu. If you’re looking for a place that serves bold, adventurous flavors with a side of serious generosity, Flames is the spot.
