I ordered a medium ribeye. We cut it, took one bite, and immediately returned it, the meat was extremely tough, very lean, and didn’t resemble a ribeye. Staff came back and said the chef had tried the steak and insisted it was “very TENDER and EASY TO CUT,” even offering to cut the whole steak for us We made clear how upset we were by that response. They returned again, still defending the steak and suggesting we change our knives (the ones supplied by the restaurant). That felt like an implication that we couldn’t use cutlery properly I told them we’d actually had one bite and found the texture unbearably tough (I was relieved that they didn't insist we get new teeth). We then offered, twice, to pay for the appetiser and bread and leave. We were not trying to get a free meal, we simply wanted an honest resolution. The manager eventually intervened, apologised, and comped the meal. He gave his name card and asked us to give Flint another chance. I appreciated his handling, and it was the only professional part of the meal. The main issue here is not only that the ribeye was poor, but that the kitchen staff responded defensively and shifted blame immediately instead of owning the problem. I can only hope your future guests won't be met with deflection when raising a legitimate concern. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The steak was awesome! Service was friendly and accompanying. It’s a hotel restaurant so you have to wrap your head around that crowd and ambience, but for a hotel restaurant it was very good. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was ok but the service is not comparable to its competitors in admiralty. The meal costs 4000$ for 4 set course and the à la carte menu is exactly the same as the set menu so there was a lack of choice. The food was served in the manner of a fast food shop. The waitress tried to serve two soups in one go and nearly poured the soup on one of us. She didn’t wait for us to finished the soup and the main course was already served. We didn’t expect this kind of service in a JW Marriot. The quality of food is very so so, nothing to tell home about. I don’t think much cooking skills is needed to create this meal. This is just a very expensive and very noisy fast food shop without service and quality. Not to mentioned, we have to ask if tea and coffee is included and need to chase after them to place order as they did nothing even after the dessert arrived. We will never come back as any of the neighbouring hotels could deliver a much higher quality food and service than this. Price per person: $500+ Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
