Hits and misses. Ordered their signature river prawn pad thai but the prawn was not fresh at all, and noddles had a strange, unclean taste. I specially asked whether there’s any meat in the dish other than prawn and was told no, but the noodles tasted as if they were cooked in fats or dirty wok/oil. Restaurant apologized and didn’t charge for the dish once I provided the feedback, and the service overall was decent. The vegetarian kang kong and crab cake were good. Tried the Saturday breakfast at Market Café this time and got a really nice 2-for-1 deal from HH, so overall it felt super worth it. Good variety, most dishes tasted great, staff were lovely, and the atmosphere/location were both really nice A la carte – Unlimited ordering from the à la carte menu. Eggs Benedict was pretty standard. The tom yum-style shakshuka was surprisingly fun and tasty, especially since I’m used to the classic tomato-heavy version lol. Smoked salmon avocado toast was okay, nothing particularly memorable. The shrimp Pad Thai was one of the few dishes that didn’t really fit my taste — slightly too salty, and personally I would’ve liked it spicier. It also felt toned down a bit for foreigners, though the shrimp itself was huge. They also had wagyu noodles, but I didn’t try them. Cheese & Cold Cuts – Nice selection overall. The beef pastrami was flavorful, and the smoked duck breast was really good, though sliced a bit thick for my preference. Four kinds of cheese available, and brie was still my favorite hahaha. Cereal, Yogurt & Smoothie Zone – Quite a lot of choices, though I somehow skipped this section completely. Live Station – Freshly carved ham sliced in front of the grill by the chef. Definitely ask them to sear it a bit for you. Bacon and sausages were standard. The scrambled eggs were slightly overcooked for me — almost becoming an omelet already lol. The grilled chicken skewers were soooo good though. Korean & Japanese Zone – Separate Korean section too. Kimchi was mildly sour and easy to eat. Tteok and fish cake were standard but decent. There were sushi and lots of side dishes as well, though I didn’t get around to trying them. Chinese Zone – They had steamed buns and siu mai, but I skipped them this time. Thai Zone – The chicken sausage fried rice was honestly amazing. Super fragrant and flavorful to the point I accidentally went back for seconds hahaha. Stir-fried shrimp with green beans was delicious too — big shrimp and crunchy beans. The tofu with bean sprouts was standard, kind of like something from a rice porridge shop. Kanom jeen curry and green curry were adjusted toward foreigner-friendly flavors, so not very spicy, but still enjoyable. Indian Zone – Tried the saffron rice and palak paneer, both really good with amazing spice aromas. The tamarind and tomato chutneys were my favorites. Vegetarian Zone – There was a dedicated vegetarian section too. I only tried the mashed eggplant dip, which was surprisingly tasty. Desserts – Croissants were nicely crispy and buttery. Donuts and muffins weren’t really my thing personally, but dessert lovers would probably enjoy them. Fruit danishes were great across every flavor. There were also Thai desserts, waffles, and French toast, though I didn’t get to try most of them. Also… giant self-service Nutella dispensers. My blood sugar definitely hated me for that lol. Fruits – Loved that they had passion fruit and rambutan. Would’ve been perfect if the rambutan seeds had been removed though. Drinks – The roasted coconuts were AMAZING. Super fragrant and refreshing. I also loved the fresh juice station where they blended juices on the spot without filtering the pulp. You could even customize your own mix and add ginger juice too. Overall, the atmosphere was really nice. Food stations were clearly separated but still easy to walk around. Some areas felt a little crowded during busy hours, but not too bad. Staff were all friendly and smiling, and even though plate clearing slowed down a bit during peak time, the overall experience was still really good.
