I entered fotia with almost no expectation but left wanting more. The mediterranean atmosphere was present in the dishes prepared. The tzatziki dressing was light and refreshing, paired with the pita bread and it’s a perfect match. While the lamb chop dish didn’t impress me, I quite like the subtle grilled flavour. It has its flavourful merits but not a dish I would go for as I’m not a huge fan of lamb (my dining companion was and she liked it!). I’ve read the reviews griping about the saltiness of the squid but I think the saltiness wasn’t flush right into my mouth but there’s a decidedly sea-saltiness to the squid and we loved it. Perhaps to balance it out one can dip it in the sauces. Servers were accommodating to my needs as I pointed out that the lamb was quite raw, almost rare-adjacent. They readily brought back to the kitchen to grill it a little more. Caramel eclair felt like the grand finale of the meal, we were pleasantly surprised with the dessert. The cream and caramel didn’t clash to create an explosion of sweetness but they maintained the balance. The caramel tasted toasty and wasn’t disgustingly sweet. Overall, the dishes we tried gave us a good impression of greek flavour profile. I’d love to visit again. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
