A tasteless bowl of beef hoon soto costs $5 . It's so plain and I wonder why it's worth this much. It's literally diluted soto soup, some shredded chicken pieces and bee hoon noodles. Heartless pricing . Not going again. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Lontong is ok but loses 1 star for being too pricey at $5.00. service is indifferent and a little rude which ruins the experience.

Im normally a person that tries to give every food stall that is rated very poorly on Google, a benefit of the doubt until i have tried the food for myself. However for the case of this stall in Teck Whye, Harummanis I have to say the very poor rating of 2.4 is highly justified. Firstly the price. Yes every hawker wants to make a profit but come on. U charge $6 for your nasi sambal goreng, but it only comes with a chicken wing, sambal goreng and bergedil. Bergedil also seems to be those factory mass produced kind. Not like other stalls which is hand made. Also no sambal sotong or paru to justify your price of $6. This is Teck Whye, not Bukit Timah or Orchard Road for goodness sake. The famous NSG stall in Boon Keng market charges $5 for their NSG with sambal sotong. That's why their queue is never ending. Good taste, good price and good attitude too. And not only that, the sambal from this stall is watery and tasteless like the other reviewers have mentioned. I don't mind to pay a higher price if the food is good, but for this stall.. it's a case of expensive price and lousy food. See the photo that I have attached and ask yourself whether this is worth $6. I can safely say this is the worst Malay stall in Singapore. And I have tried many Malay stalls all over the island. Attitude of the lady who served me was also cold and impolite like the other reviewers have mentioned. If i could give zero star I would. No wonder this stall had zero queue while the other Malay stall in the coffee shop just behind them had a long queue. That is the biggest red flag u will ever see when 2 stalls in same location both selling the same kind of food, one has nobody and one has a long queue of customers. Avoid this stall at all cost.
