スープが薄味なので日本人にはパンチが足りないかもしれない。が、味覚に精神を集中すると、遠くで牛のスープと香菜の香りを感じる。肉団子は文句なく美味い。固めの肉団子をかじると、口の中で団子が弾けるとともに、牛肉の香りがいっぱいに広がる。隣の飲み物屋さんのコーヒーも香りよく、ランチにおすすめ。

Now me and colleagues can come here during lunch. I find Hakka YTF too healthy/bland for me. Now they offer Kim’s Roast so I have reasons to visit. The Dang Gui roasted duck is very fragrant and delicious! The char siew was roasted to perfection, you could almost call it the glass kind. Caramelisation was captured to perfection, any further you call that charred. Amazing. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was prepared to have pig organ's soup prior embarking to try out at Hakka Yong Tau Foo and Meatball at Gar Lok Eating House along Syed Alwi. When you based food on the appearance of the venue, you will not be too excited. The place is run-down. It is regretful that Yong Tau Foo was sold even though we arrived at 1.15pm. However, i would say this is a local gem to be discovered. Ordering was straightforward. Dry or soup; find your seat and wait to be served. Truth be told, the beef ball was truly amazing. It was delicious and every bite was flavourful and springy. It reminded me of the Stephen Chow's movie where the meat ball could bounced like ping pong ball yet every bite contained texture and flavours. The broth was clear and tasy, not those that will require to drink lot of water thereafter (due to overdoes of artificial flavouring). The egg noodle was similar to Koo Kee's type with generous doage of pork lard oil and minced meat. Paired that with their unique chilli made the whole dish simply delicious. We also ordered some soon kueh and paid about S$24 in total, including four bowls of beef ball noodles. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
