I was really looking forward to my visit to Garret fish and chips but left feeling very disappointed. The fish was cooked very well and tasted great the chips were just chips, didn't resemble anything you'd find in a english chippy. The tartar sauce was probably the best ive ever tasted, that's the good news, we sat down and a lady came from the kitchen and told us what wasn't on the menu, approximately half the menu about 11 items any way we ordered 1 sml pollock and one large pollack both with chips we watched them come out the fryer and straight out to us ,expecting a massive portion especially what it cost i was unimpressed to say the least my portion was marginally larger than the sml just and we both had exactly the same amount of chips when I looked up i watched the lady and cook getting stuck into what the didn't put on our plates needless to say we both left hungry and feeling a little cheated.
