Very close to the tourist attraction we needed some caffeine hit and decided to go to the mall here. Most of the sitting areas is reserved for other eateries, so you will just have to find a spot if you want to sit and drink your beverage. The Americano was made great. The coffee beans roasted nicely and no bitter aftertaste. Smooth and the temperature was good as well. Meal type: Other Price per person: HK$1–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Most if not all beverages are vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: You can make your beverages with oat/soy/coconut milks

George Coffee is a franchise coffee shop with a handful of branches around the city. Have tried a couple of branches over the past year, including most recently their place at the K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui. Mostly, uninspired so far, not sure how George sticks out in the continually improving coffee culture and scene here in Hong Kong. During a recent visit, we ordered a mocha and affogato. We were the only two people there and it took them around 10 minutes to serve at the counter. This was annoying. Worse was the fact that the barista wasn't wearing a mask. No problem during normal times but not cool at all during a global pandemic. The mocha was good, a bitter chocolate flavour complemented the espresso fairly. The affogato wasn't very good, they use soft serve vanilla ice-cream which breaks down to little more than vanilla sauce when adding the espresso, the taste was poor compared to the good affogatos you can find at better coffee shops around the city. Espresso at George is ok. In the end, George Coffee hasn't done the trick for us, a couple of 'meh' experiences probably means our focusing on other proven and better coffeehouses in the future.
