The porridge itself was smooth and comforting—simple but exactly what you want to balance out the stronger flavours of the frog legs. Mixing the sauce into the porridge made every bite really satisfying. Service was also great. Staff were attentive and efficient, and the food was served quite quickly even though the place was busy. They were friendly and happy to recommend dishes, which made the experience even better. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

So glad Geylang Lor 9 opened at Jurong 491! It’s quickly become our favorite late-night supper haunt in the West. The porridge texture is consistently thick and smooth—it doesn't turn watery even after sitting for a while. The dried chili frog (Gong Bao) is a must-order; the sauce is rich and coats the meat perfectly. Even when it’s busy on weekends, the staff is efficient and the food comes out piping hot. Great to have this legendary taste right in our neighborhood. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
