First off, this place is on the JW Marriott Phuket Resort grounds, along with Marriott Vacation Club Phuket Beach Club. We came during low season and every time we walked by Ginja Taste, there were always more customers here than at the nearby restaurants on this property, which is what intrigued us to begin with. We walked in slightly before 6 pm and they were able to seat us without a reservation. On any other day or during high season, reservations are highly recommended. Service was great and attentive. They made sure we were comfortable and addressed anything that was requested from us. It's a shame we didn't sit nearer the windows overlooking the Andaman Sea to view the sunset. We had the Seafood Set Menu (4500THB for 2 persons) and added their steamed lobster and morning glory (ong choy) vegetable dish since we were a party of 3. TBH, this was quite a bit of food for us and we juat barely finished everything. Each of the dishes in the set menu were well presented and tasted really good. The only caveat is that the portions on some of the entrees could have been more. The appetizers were great and showcased some of Chef Tim's creations well. The dessert was refreshingly nice and the chef also provided a final blue colored (butterfly pea-infused?) tapioca pearl coconut cream (?) shot glass dessert which we all enjoyed. Definitely not cheap compared to other more local, family-run places nearby but Ginja Taste is elevated dining done well, but also has some room for growth also. My family and I enjoyed our meal here and recommend to try if you have never done so. Price per person: ฿2,000+
