There are quite a few UCC cafes and coffee shops around Hong Kong, offering western style lunch sets, desserts and coffee drinks in generally comfortable dining environments. Cafes in more central located places don't always serve great food and can be somewhat bland for those with a western palate. However, their menu offers accessible options, particularly their pasta dishes, providing relative comfort food for visitors seeking western or western-style cuisine. I recently tried the Global Work Cafe by UCC in Ma On Shan for lunch, ordering the Salmon & Spinach casserole w/ coffee (HK$82 plus 10% service). Ingredients were fresh and baked well with the rice. More seasoning or salt and pepper would have been appreciated. Otherwise, an ok dish for lunch (rating 3 of 5). The coffee, which is made hand-drip style, was better than what you normally can find in Hong Kong. Overall, nothing particularly exciting about the UCC cafes and coffee shops in Hong Kong. What you'll likely find is not cheap nor expensive, not great food but ok if you are in the area, and fancy western(ish) for lunch.
