日本語、英語メニューがありました。指さし注文ができるので、韓国語が分からなくても大丈夫です。注文してから切ってくれるお肉は臭みもなく、とても美味しかったです。テンジャンチゲは絶品なので是非食べてみて下さい。東廟市場からすぐ近くなのと、スパレックスも目の前で分かりやすい場所にあります。来店時にはお客さんは地元の方しかおらず、ローカルなご飯屋さんを探している方にオススメです。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000

My partner was craving brisket and asked Claude to help find the best brisket in Seoul. It brought us to this quaint little barbecue spot that ended up being our favorite meal in Korea. When we showed up around 2:30pm, all the tables were full, and even though it's a really small shop, the staff told us to wait inside because it was too hot outside. They helped us put our bags away and grabbed a stool for us to sit and wait. We enjoyed the ambiance, as it felt like being in someone's home. 1 table opened up maybe 5-10 min later, but they had us wait an extra 2 minutes so that they could clean up another newly empty table so we could sit in the more air conditioned area. So thoughtful! While we were waiting, the staff brought us a menu with English and pictures, which was so helpful. We ordered the brisket, ribs, and pork jowel. All were incredibly delicious, but the ribs were insane. Even more insane was the super attentive and hospitable service. One of the servers cooked the first round of meat for us. He even showed us what sauces to try with the various meats, what accompanying veggies+side dishes to wrap together (my favorite is wrapping the meant in lettuce, grilled garlic, fermented bean sauce, and beansprout salad), but the radish wrap was also really refreshing. Even though we often eat KBBQ back in New York, I've never learned the proper technique and was so grateful he took the time to show us how to properly enjoy the meal. And side dishes kept getting refilled without us asking. What 5 star treatment! (They even brought us aprons and covers for our bags so that our clothes and bags wouldn't get BBQ grease all over them) While the locals were cooking their own meat, the 2 tables next two us were also foreigners and received equal treatment as we did. That to me shows how much the staff cares about sharing their culture with others through not just a delicious meal, but one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. If you're traveling through Seoul and want delicious korean barbecue, definitely visit Gobau. You and your bellies will be treated like royalty!
