欧米からを中心に外国人が多く居住するこのエリアで気軽に冷たい生ビールを飲めます。もうこれだけで最高に価値があります。気軽に仲間で飲む人たちで込み合っています。. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: SGD 10–20

Excellent place for drinks but the service needs huge improvement; clearly understaffed and so staff are stressed and slightly rude. Every place has trade offs and this is clearly the poor service. On Thu went for dinner: - inattentive staff, had to flag down staff as they were running all over the place. - asked if they had the burger on promotional card, to be simply told “no”. The staff clearly wanted to get away to bus another order, when I pressed turns out they did have the burger, it just wasn’t at the promotional price. - ordered some light bites. Half an hour later we wanted to order some more mains to be told the kitchen had closed entirely due to a large order. Why is the bistro allowing a huge order (Grab, catering?) to trump customers dining in? There was no advance notice, the staff weren’t apologetic nor could they offer any food at all. So we had to go somewhere else for dinner. Went Friday AM for a coffee and breakfast: - made a reservation. Staff ignored me as I arrived. I said hello to one staff who either didn’t hear me or ignored me. Talked to another staff who told me it was open seating (okay so why bother reserving). - again inattentive. When flagged down to take order the guy said slightly rudely/stressed “just a minute”. - When he came back to take our order he advised it would be 20 minute wait for any food item. That’s fine but 1. The bistro was only 1/3 full 2. They could have told us this before we sat down. Overall come here for the cheap drinks, and don’t expect much from the staff or even food. Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Hi Ben, Thanks for your very comprehensive review, I appreciate the time taken to compose this. Also, thank you for patronizing us twice despite the initial unwelcome experience. We are taking your review very seriously, and we will improve our service in response. Really disappointing experience at Good Boy George. It took an incredibly long time to receive four drinks and two croissants for a table of four. The cappuccino and iced latte were especially slow, and I had to ask twice for sugar with my English Breakfast tea. The tea itself was fine, but it was served in a cup that looked cracked and worn, which did not inspire confidence. The croissants were extremely hard and overcooked. They were so dry they felt like sand, and genuinely left my mouth feeling like the Sahara Desert. Not what a croissant should be. They also took ages to come out, while the server was walking around eating toast and all other sorts of things while serving, she also had this slice of toast in her hand while attending to customer, is that the standard here? My little brother (15) was served a beer when he obviously didn’t order beer (none of us did). The only positive was the avocado banana smoothie, which was good. Overall, not a great experience and certainly not somewhere I would rush back to.
