As we stayed in Courtyard by Marriott Patong, Goodfellas Pizzeria was convenient as it was right within the hotel. Therefore, it obviously became our destination when we were short of time or low on energy and needed an energy boost FAST! It also helped that they were specialized in PIZZA, the ultimate comfort food. The moment we walked in, and saw the big beautiful oven with flames dancing inside, we knew we were at the right place. That sick oven would produce perfectly crispy and charred pizza! The restaurant design and color choice was definitely Mediterranean, transporting us instantly to a sunny terrace of Southern Italy. We had 2 meals there, and both were Delicious! The first meal was dinner, and we ordered Green salad, Seafood Vongole Pasta, Clam Pasta, Margherita pizza, and Prosciutto pizza. The salad was ok. The Clam pasta was a bit sandy, and the seafood vongole was yummy. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, and the seafood was fresh, juicy, sweet and lightly chewy. But the stars of the meal were truly the pizzas. The prosciutto pizza was good, then we were totally blown away by the margherita, which came a little later. There was just the right amount of cheese sprinkled on top, then the blobs pf mozzarella cheese was perfect, chewy and creamy but not really fatty, very light yet flavourful. We were utterly impressed, and I told myself right there that I would come again during our trip. And we did. This time, it was for a light lunch after coming back from a day trip that was energy- sapping. This time, we skipped the pasta all together, and leaned totally into the pizzas, ordering 2 margherittas. It was still as good as the first time. What a consistency!! We also ordered some appetisers to go with the heavy-duty pizzas. The burrata salad came with a HUGE and yummy fresh blob of mozzarella cheese paired with sweet and crunchy sliced tomatoes. Very refreshing! The beef tartare was surprisingly nice, with the same yummy blobs of cheese as found on the pizza, paper thin slices of super tender beef coated in a delicately balanced dressing. The best part: the crunchy toasted bread on top that perfectly complemented the soft beef to create a wonderful balance with every mouthful. This time we had desserts too. The panna cotta was refreshing, while the tiramisu was rich with a distinct hint of alcohol. None was too sweet, although the way the tiramisu was served was a bit peculiar (as a slice from a big box instead of a separate portion). No complaints though since the food was nice! We had 2 good meals, and even though having pizza in a beach town may sound a bit strange, good food and good company is what matters most at the end of the day, and we experienced both with the Goodfellas. Must try dishes: - Margherita pizza - Burrata cheese - Beef tartare - Prosciutto pizza - Panna cotta - Tiramisu Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Goodfellas Pizzeria Phuket was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had!!! I even have Dieci in Switzerland as my goto Italian restaurant for pizza but this one was on another level. The dough was perfect, true Neapolitan style, light and flavorful just an incredible pizza overall , TOP 200%. The staff deserves 12/10: super friendly, fast and they make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Until I leave Phuket I’m pretty sure I’ll be eating here every single day. BDW, my wife had the classic bruschetta and it was also excellent, well prepared, and really tasty. 100% recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿200–400
