A wonderful place with a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere! The environment is cozy, relaxing, and perfect place. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The Diablo Coffee is an absolute must-try—rich, smooth, and full of flavour. Highly recommended for any coffee lover! I'll definitely be back again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+

Went to Gordon Grill with my wife and in-laws on 3 May 2026. The food was mediocre but the service that day was virtually non-existent that it was horrible. We went into the restaurant and was standing at the entrance for around 5 minutes before someone noticed us. As a fine dining restaurant, we had expected a proper "meter-greeter" but there was no one there. After we sat down, we were passed the menu and then was asked if we would like any water. We chose a bottle of Sparkling Water and it was only served to us about 10 to 15 minutes later which by then, we had already decided what to order and was waiting for someone to take our orders. Throughout our lunch, none of the staff actually came by our table to check if we needed anything, like water. Both my wife's and my glass were empty for 2 out of 4 of the courses and no one bothered to check with us or offered to top up our glass.. As compared to the other 2 tables beside us, we were completely ignored (waiter went to ask the other 2 tables if everything was fine but just walked past our table, they topped up their wine and water but ignored our table.). Then when dessert came, the wait staff came out with a birthday cake and candle when my wife had already called and informed the day before that we do not want a cake, which was acknowledged by the person taking the call. Surprisingly, no one bothered to call from the restaurant to double confirm if we were still coming, which is what most, if not all restaurants, are doing. For a fine dining restaurant, missing out such simple instructions from a diner is quite unexpected. To top it off, the bill took close to 20 mintues to be settled. Firstly just trying to get an attention of a staff was difficult, and the wait for the bill was so long that my party managed to go to the toilet and come back, and I had just only presented my card for payment. And then it was another close to 10 minutes wait before the bill was officially closed. For a fine dining restaurant, it is regrettable that the service standards were so lacklustre that makes this place pales in comparison with other restaurants. So it is really not valued for money when the food is mediocre and service was this bad. Really bad experience and would definitely not consider this venue as there are other better places with better food and/or service.
