Most of the staff were friendly except one lady. She was rude and obnoxious to my mother. This was the second time we had visited the restaurant, Greyhound Cafe Kai Tak, and it was around tea time when there weren’t many diners. My mother came in later than me, after the menus had been collected and I had already ordered. My mother went up to the waitress to ask for a tea set menu and she said “你咪攞咗囉？ 你都order咗啦！” ie “Didn't you already take it? You already ordered anyway!’ loudly and impatiently. She even repeated it twice as if the customer would bother lying to her. Then when she delivered the drink, she rushed in from behind and shouted ‘iced lemon tea’ unnecessarily loudly. I could even hear her with my noise cancelling earbuds on. This is absolutely uncalled for, especially when my mother is old and the sudden shout had shaken her. I urge management to investigate this incident immediately and take strict disciplinary action against this employee, whether through urgent retraining or termination. Skip the ordinary black mushroom cream soup and go for the sweet corn with crab meat; it’s silky and subtly rich. The grilled sirloin on turmeric rice delivers smoky heat with a fragrant kick, while the half grilled chicken stays juicy and charred just right. Dessert is a mystery but pleasantly light. I stop by for coffee while my son was at epicland for two hours. This is a full service Thai restaurant and bar with western options. I got appetizers, beer, and various other beverages and desert. I had a pleasant experience while waiting for my son to complete his two hours of play time. Ordering was easy, qr code online orders. Food came at a reasonable rate. I was in no rush as I had two hours to kill. The food was authentic Thai food like the ones I ate in Thailand. Whole coconuts, tom kha gai, tom yum koong, fish, rice, noodles, the works...
