老舗のプラナカン料理屋。AYAM BUAH KELUAK が名物料理。日本人には馴染みが無い料理が多いのでチャレンジしがいがある。味付けは濃いめの味付けで、ビールに合う。

夕飯時に行きました。1つ1つの料理がしっかりしていて美味しいです。AYAM BUAH KELUAK は日本では食べれないと思いますのでとても貴重な体験となりました。子供が好きそうなメニューも多かったので次回は家族できます。

Had the absolute pleasure of enjoying lunch today with my good friend Sean Patrick Rozario at the iconic Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant in Joo Chiat. Sean and I simply can never get enough of authentic Peranakan cuisine! Every dish was packed with flavour, heritage, and that unmistakable home-cooked goodness that keeps us coming back for more. What made the experience even more memorable was the excellent service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. Great food, great company, and great service — what more could one ask for? It was an afternoon filled with laughter, wonderful conversation, and of course, some truly outstanding Peranakan dishes. If you’re a fan of Peranakan food, Guan Hoe Soon is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommended! Thank you, Sean, for the wonderful company. Looking forward to our next Peranakan food adventure already! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100+ Dietary restrictions: Opted for less sugar in my dessert.
