Guanko Hotel is a classic hotel offering spacious, comfortable rooms and great service. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Chiayi, about a 10-15 minute walk from the rear part of Chiayi station. If you're planning to take the shuttle bus to Alishan or want to go to the livelier part of Chiayi east of the train station, plan for another 5 minutes to cross through the station. The rooms were furnished in a classic style and were clean, quiet and surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of storage space. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient, making our check-in and check-out a breeze. The reception is also available 24/7, which is fairly convenient if you have to check-out early. Service: 5
