Very unique dish you can only taste in Korea. You can taste fresh sea snail dish here. Highly recommend to try the snail with sesame oil sauce. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

The staffs are not nice as we expected, but the food is very unique. You can try many dishes way. They provide seaweed, sesame leaves and chives. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Other Price per person: ₩60,000–70,000

(Updated in Oct 2021) Gwijok fresh whelk, Korean - Jamwon, Gangnam 귀족생골뱅이, 한식, 잠원동, 신사역 Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 1 (under 60000 KRW, 50 USD) The restaurant is located near to Sinsa Subway Station and specializes in live whelk. Live whelk is natural product that is not cultivated. The texture and mouthfeel is similar to Escargot, but can be more chewy and the price is not so much high. The sticky hischin mucus from whelk is known to be good at Eyes (due to Taurine), diet and skin. The whelk soup contains iron, protein and hischin muscus, so it is said to be healthy food. We can try the dishes in many types; boiled in soup, sashimi, parboiled and seasoned one with noodles. Staffs are kind and tables are spacious. Valet parking is not available and there is paid parking lot.
