A cozy Korean-style hot pot rice dish served sizzling in a metal/stone pot — hearty and full of flavor. The star is the fish pollock nestled in a vibrant bed of finely chopped greens, generously topped with toasted sesame seeds. The rice at the bottom develops that signature crispy crust, making every bite satisfying and aromatic. It pairs perfectly with light clear seawood soup, spicy kimchi for a tangy kick, fresh seaweed, a savory green pepper sauce, and a refreshing strawberry yogurt for dessert. Tucked away in a cozy corner of Jeju, Gyejeolsig is a small and intimate restaurant that delivers a truly heartfelt dining experience. We had the octopus and pollack served in a traditional rice pot, together with some small side dishes (banchan), a beautifully balanced, comforting dish that was clearly made with care and attention. Also had the local Jeju soju which to me was the most flavorful one so far! The owner was warm and welcoming, and it was clear that every dish was prepared with genuine love. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic place with honest food and a personal touch, this is the spot. Highly recommended. Price per person: ₩20,000–30,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
