Had a very enjoyable meal at GyoGyo. The grilled fish was fresh and flavourful, while the sukiyaki was hearty with generous ingredients. We also tried the sushi roll, which was beautifully presented and complemented the meal nicely. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a pleasant place to catch up with friends and family over a good meal. A special thank you to Mint for her excellent service. She was friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. Her cheerful attitude and genuine hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It is always nice to be served by someone who takes pride in looking after customers. Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Will definitely be back again. Had their Sukiyaki Set during my visit. The soup was rich and flavorful, making it a comforting and satisfying meal. The beef slices were slightly on the thin side, but still complemented the dish well. One thing I liked was the wide variety of Japanese food available on the menu, giving plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it was a good dining experience with tasty food and a diverse selection of Japanese dishes. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I ordered the Miso Grilled Saba Set. When it was served, it seems to me that they had forgotten to wipe off the miso paste that was used to marinate the fish before putting it on the grill (you can actually see from the picture that the miso paste is still there). This has happened before at this outlet as well as the outlet at Plaza Singapura. But I decided to just eat it rather than to make any noise. I noticed the meat and the skin were unusually hard. When I was about to finish, I accidentally flipped the fish over. Only then I discovered that the other side of the fish is completely charred/burnt, most likely a result of not wiping the miso paste off first before grilling the fish. This is too much to me. So I decided to talk to the waitress and let her know that they are supposed to wipe of the miso paste off before they grill, otherwise this is likely to happen. The waitress's reply was: this is how the miso grilled saba should look like. It should be charred/burnt like this. I was speechless. She then said: do you want to change it? But you have already eaten half of it. At this point I felt that there is no point trying to communicate further. The kitchen doesn't know how the fish should be prepared. The waitress doesn't know how the dish is supposed to look at. The standard is not consistent across many of their outlets. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1
