Amazing little gem, loved the burgers. Although I thought a double would be sufficient, now I het why they offer a quadruple as the burger is not massive. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$300–350 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Looking for a hamburger to satisfy our Canadians craving after hamburgers almost two weeks of delicious Chinese food and we’re glad we found Honbo. Service is great and the hamburger is delicious. The beef patty is properly crisp on the outside and tender. Bun is the right texture and taste, not overly sweet like the fast food places. We wolfed down our burgers. Visited in April 2025. Hong Kong Central. Tucked away on Lyndhurst Terrace in Central, Honbo is a small, casual burger spot that’s easy to miss. We sat inside — it’s a compact place with a modern minimalist look, open kitchen, soft lighting, and a lively, energetic vibe. The atmosphere feels like a hidden American-style diner: simple, no-frills, and busy with office workers grabbing quick meals. It’s cozy but a bit cramped — perfect for a fast lunch, not for a long relaxed dinner. FOOD: The menu has several smash-style burgers with different options (single or double patties). The patties are thin with a crispy edge, but we often found sinews (veins) in the meat, and the beef flavor got lost behind the bun, sauces, and toppings. Overall, the burgers were just average — nothing special or memorable. Fries and drinks were standard. Portions are normal, but for the price in Central, we expected better quality meat. SERVICE: Service is fast and friendly. Orders come out quickly, which is great for a busy lunch spot. VERDICT: Honbo Central is a convenient spot for a quick burger in the middle of Central. The hidden location and casual lively atmosphere make it easy to pop in. However, the burgers disappointed us with thin patties that had sinews and weak meat taste. We don’t really recommend it if you’re looking for great burgers in Hong Kong — there are better options around. Good only if you’re nearby and need something fast.
