I’m a tonkatsu lover and I’ve tried tonkatsu from various regions Hands down, Hoshi Katsu has the best tenderloin katsu. Must be because of the Jeju black pork. It’s truly delicious and super tender. The loin katsu was pretty good. Like an average good from a good tonkatsu place. The things that brought down the overall experience for me were the salad dressing and the soup. I wasn’t a fan of them, the dressing was too gingery for my liking and the soup, although tasty, it’s a little spicy. I highly recommend the tenderloin katsu! Even the breading covered the back of each slice, leaving only the sliced pink part exposed, which gives a really nice ratio of crunchy breading to the tender pork.
