The restaurant had a long queue, so we tried it. Their signature dish is the Salt Baked Chicken. It is definitely one of the best of its kind! Super delicious, great flavour with a bit of chicken broth coating the chicken. Fantastic and worth the hype! However, we thought the other dishes did not live up to the same hype. The Stuffed Tofu was just tofu with some minced meat on top. However, the yellow bean and sauce that accompanied it was delicious. The pork soup tasted very similar to peppery bak kut teh, and the pork meat was really tough. The abacus seed, another traditional Hakka dish, had a nice texture, but there was a conspicuous absence of mini prawns and mushrooms that typically accompany this dish. Always see a long queue so we decided to try the food & it’s really good. The signature salt chicken is very tender and juicy even though it looks mediocre. So yummy. The claypot eggplant is also very yummy, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t eat eggplant tofu looks good but taste wise is ok only, didn’t wow me. Worst dish is the garlic pork rib with sweet potato, cos the pork rib is mostly bones & no meat. Passion fruit lemon tea was better than waxberry juice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
