My mate and I were motorcycling in Northern Thailand when we accidentally stumbled into this bar one afternoon in June 2022. Steve the owner was very friendly and we soon got chatting about motorbikes. Great chat but he had me holding certain body parts with his tales of coming off his bike! We got to meet some of the local expats that frequented the bar. All were very friendly! Dudley who looks 10 years younger than he is and could write a book on his life experiences! A cheeky Cockney with great stories to tell. Pete an expat from Oz seemed like an absolute gentleman and gave us a tip on a bike run to Phu Chi Fa and where to stay. We did the bike run and stayed in the same place he stayed and were not disappointed! Thanks Pete! We also met Mark an expat American who also had tips to share. Not following up on driving with one eye closed after a few beers! Mark has a beautiful business partner who he says he has never kissed! Liar! I am ashamed to say I have forgotten Steve wife’s name! However she was a lovely lady and also a character! The lady prepared some great food for us while at the bar. We are not planning to go back to Chiang Rai soon but if we did we would certainly go back to this very friendly bar!
