I was really looking forward to a good meal here, but unfortunately, almost everything we ordered was a letdown. The most glaring issue was how incredibly greasy the food was. The Beef Chow Fun was dripping in oil, and that heavy, slick texture seemed to carry over into almost every other dish we tried. To make matters worse, the ingredients felt cheap—you could tell immediately that all the shrimp used across the menu were frozen, lacking any freshness or bite. Even the Three Cup Chicken was a miss, coming out extremely dry and tough to chew. Overall, nothing we ate was satisfying. It’s rare to leave a restaurant feeling like not a single dish hit the mark, but that was exactly the case here. I won’t be returning. Price per person: $400–600 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We were looking for something different from the usual taiwanese fare and came across Hao Zheng Dian in HuaLien. We order the dry beef fried hor fun, stir fried cabbage, chicken mushroom soup, beef soup, yangzhou fried rice and a variety of dim sum. Food was great and the dimsum was authentic (as good as those found in Hong Kong!) Loved the radish cake, siew mai and salted egg lava bun.. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: West Lake Beef Soup
