Excellent local cooking. Chicken larb filling. Tom yam with thai herb clear broth plenty of prawns and assorted vegetables. Order spicy or mild to suit your own taste. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We visited last night as a family and had a lovely experience. The menu is extensive, mostly Thai dishes but with some Western favourites too (the spaghetti bolognese kept the kids happy!). One thing to note is that the non-Thai dishes do take a bit longer to come out. There’s a great selection of drinks, and the range of Fanta flavours was a big hit with our children. The restaurant is set slightly uphill and back from the strip of cafes, which gives it a quieter, more relaxed feel. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent in the evening as it’s not right on the main road. The staff were as friendly and welcoming as ever, which always makes such a difference. A really nice spot for families looking for lots of choice and a laid-back atmosphere. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Happy Restaurant on Koh Mook is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that truly capture the essence of Thailand. The staff live up to the name—always smiling, welcoming, and creating a warm, cheerful atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal that leaves you both happy and satisfied.
