The food was decent, but unfortunately the service was not. I felt that I was treated differently because I spoke Mandarin. The staff’s attitude toward me was noticeably cold and dismissive throughout the interaction, which made me feel unwelcome. What frustrated me even more was the discount issue. The restaurant clearly advertised a 10% discount for customers who settle their bill before 11:00 AM. I met that requirement, but when I asked for the discount, I was told that I was not eligible. After I questioned this, the explanation suddenly changed to “it’s usually for regular customers.” The problem is that nowhere in the promotion did it mention that the discount was limited to regular customers. The advertisement simply stated that customers paying before 11:00 AM would receive 10% off. If there are additional conditions, they should be clearly stated upfront instead of being introduced only when a customer is about to pay. To be fair, the food itself was quite good. However, good food does not make up for poor service and inconsistent treatment of customers. Whether intentional or not, the combination of the unfriendly attitude and the refusal to honor the advertised promotion left me feeling unfairly treated. I hope the restaurant can be more transparent with its promotions and treat all customers equally, regardless of the language they speak.
