HeSheEat is a cafe and dessert restaurant in Mong Kok that has built a following around food that looks as considered as it tastes. The space is small and well lit, with an interior that feels deliberately put together without being over-designed, and the overall atmosphere is calm enough that it works for a leisurely meal rather than just a quick dessert stop. The souffle pancake is the thing to order here. It arrives tall and impossibly light, with a texture that sits somewhere between a cloud and a custard, and it collapses slowly rather than all at once, which gives you a moment to appreciate it before you start eating. The flavors are well balanced, not aggressively sweet, and the whole thing has a kind of delicacy to it that is harder to pull off than it looks. The black truffle cheese foam version takes the concept further with a savory-sweet combination that works better than it has any right to. Beyond the souffle, the croissant with soft serve ice cream is available as a takeaway option and is the more casual entry point if you are passing through rather than sitting down. The savory side of the menu holds up as well. The mentaiko pasta is creamy and satisfying, and the risotto is worth considering if you want something more substantial alongside dessert. Service is attentive and the staff are friendly throughout. Walk-in tables are possible on quieter weekday evenings but the restaurant fills up, so timing matters. For a dessert focused meal in Mong Kok where the food is genuinely worth the visit rather than just the photos, HeSheEat delivers consistently. Had such an amazing experience at Hesheeat Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and everything was perfect from start to finish.
