Wiser coffee connoisseurs than me claim that this is one of the better cups in town. It certainly beats out the run of the mill fare, but I don't know how exactly. Butterscotch is a special item here but that's too sweet for me. The milk tea and lattes were fine. The thing I was most interested in was bagels... At least the sign claimed they were bagels but I would like it more to a half hearted croissant that got deflated. The texture is nothing like bagel and it's incredibly flat. It's the strangest thing. Up until now I've been flexible about what breads can be called what but this feels like gaslighting as most of my Korean friends said this is also what they would call a bagel. Nevertheless the alleged bagels taste good though surprisingly they don't taste different from one another. I had everything except the salt bread flavor, but blindfold on and I couldn't taste the difference between blueberry and onion bagels here. I also got the chocolate mouse and it was good, light, a bit too sweet but not enough to mark it down. Overall a great basement level cafe just outside of gaeksa.
