Very disappointing experience at Malee Highland Koh Lanta. Families should be especially cautious. Children in the playroom are apparently filmed and the surveillance footage was even accessible on the manager’s phone, which raised serious privacy concerns for us as parents. We found this deeply uncomfortable and unacceptable. Why are children being filmed while playing and why is this footage being monitored privately on a personal device? When we raised our concerns, management reacted poorly and even threatened that we would have to check out if we did not accept this. The playroom itself was dirty every day, full of chaos, with broken or missing toys, completely unsuitable for children. The kids’ pool was equally disappointing: dirty, poorly maintained, and the slides were damaged to the point that allowing children to use them felt irresponsible and unsafe. Another major downside was the very high additional costs for basic necessities. Guests should be aware that electricity, water, washing bed sheets, and washing towels all come with extra charges and even toilet paper must be purchased separately by guests. While these conditions may be communicated, we found the overall extra costs excessive and far beyond what we expected for a resort stay. To make matters worse, construction work started directly in front of the resort during our stay, creating noise and disruption that further impacted any chance of a relaxing holiday experience. For the price paid, basic cleanliness, respectful treatment, privacy, safety for children, transparency and a peaceful environment should be standard. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at all. Future guests should carefully consider these conditions before booking.

Came to enjoy the childrens pool playground with our 3 year old son. We were super hyped to go there and obviously its very nice that Malee offers this. I understand that as an outside visitor you pay a fee to use the facilities. But on top of paying 300 baht for the child to use the pool they dont allow a parent in the pool to supervise the child unless you also pay the day pass of 450 baht. So basically you need to pay 750 baht for your child to play in the pool where the facilities are outdated or broken. When the child hurt himself in the pool and i went in the pool to help him, the manager again insisted that i had to pay because i was in the pool. Not a sign of good service.Not worth the money nor the hassle.

Hi everyone , if you visit Koh Lantha there is things you must visit Malee Highlands the Best place on the Island Great food , great pools, padel court, and very Nice people So try the best food on the island and I recomend the Pannbiff And for childrens, they can play i the waterpark , or play padel,pickel ball, table tennis or there is a gaming room next to the resturant. So do like me and I love it go there
