Hilltop Paddock is a restaurant at Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Happy Valley Old Clubhouse that operates like a food court. There is no reservation, because it is free seating. Members must order and pay at the different counters before receiving the food. The main dining room is very spacious with a high ceiling, but the tables and chairs are rather sticky. Staff is not the friendliest bunch, to say the least. Cashiers lack patience when taking orders and no one seems to be willing to help. Robert, the robot which collects trays and dirty dishes, is the only one around during the busy dinner hours. Food quality of the international cuisine is mediocre at best. Freshly prepared clay pot rice is hard and dry. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$250–300 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
