Hokkaido Robata Etsuzo 悅藏 北海道灶 on the corner of Gage Street and Aberdeen Street is one of a cluster of Japanese restaurants in Central. Run by Japanese, Etsuzo is a good pick for authentic Japanese food and I enjoyed their current special fatty and minced tuna combo rice set for $168. There’s bar seating on the ground floor that gives diners a view of the chefs in action in the open kitchen with more space upstairs to accommodate larger groups. Staff are friendly and the place is popular with the lunchtime crowd.
