"Even if I'm told to forget you in tomorrow's wind, I will keep on loving you." - Seiko Matsuda I passed by Holly's Cafe many times while in Osaka, however never stepped in until this morning. I adore this charming cafe that's super popular with Japanese. Holly's Café - Namba ホリーズカフェ なんば店 It's a Kansai thing as the Japanese café chain is located specifically in the Kansai area. Holly's is found in five prefectures - Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Shiga. Founded in 1972 and now has 71 stores in the Kansai area. What locals recommend is their original blend coffee. If you like it, you can pick up your own bag of their special coffee to take home with you. I chose a Soufflé Pancake & Hot Tea set for only ¥690. It's kept simple with emphasize on a quick bite and bang for your yen! Yet, I noticed lots of outlets to charge up your essentials before a full day ahead. The staff very welcoming and easy on the eyes. Cute uniforms from a bygone era gives it a vintage charm. I paid via credit card and you pickup when ready - cafeteria style. The Soufflé Pancake hit the spot, tho not outstanding, it was fluffy and tasty. The hot tea warmed me up for a chilly morning in Osaka-shi. Holly's Café - Namba ホリーズカフェ なんば店 In the end, I highly recommend Holly's Cafe in Namba. I'm sure the other locations are fine, but I've only experienced this spot and I'm in love with Holly. I loved the calm Jazz music playing, Showa era wood decor, and that pleasant "you're in Osaka, baby" vibe!
