The selection leaned toward nostalgic comfort breads. The Golden Pyramid ($1.90) was filled with smashed eggs, ham, and cheese — generous inside, though the crust could have been crisper for that sinful crunch. The Butter Bun ($1.70) relied on its buttery, sugary top for flavour, simple but decent. The Cream Roll ($1.60) had a nice flaky, sugary outer, but the cream filling was heavy and greasy, making it jelak after a few bites despite the enjoyable bread texture. Date: 21/10/24 (Monday) Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Homies Bakery, located opposite my block at Yishun Blk 675A. I have been a loyal customer for the past 4 years, regularly purchasing their products ever since the shop opened. On this particular day, I went to buy a 12-piece bread set, as I often do. I requested 6 pieces with kaya and butter and the other 6 pieces with peanut butter only—just as I have done for the past 3 to 4 years. To my surprise, I was told by the cashier that they can no longer fulfill this request. When I asked why, especially since I was willing to pay for it or even pay extra, the cashier responded rudely, shrugging her shoulders and saying, "I dunno, can't buy because the boss says so." I was shocked by this poor level of customer service. I put back the bread and left the store, feeling disrespected as a loyal customer. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I no longer plan to shop at Homies Bakery. I hope this issue is taken seriously and that the customer service at this store is improved.
