Caution for All Indian Tourists This so-called “Honest” restaurant appears to be misleading customers by using a well-known Indian brand name. They display a “Pure Vegetarian” sign outside, but the food is reportedly prepared through their neighboring restaurant, “Bombay,” which serves non-vegetarian halal food. This is deeply concerning for vegetarian customers who specifically look for separate vegetarian kitchens. They are not only misusing an Indian brand name but also playing with the faith and beliefs of many Indian customers by serving food that is not prepared in a dedicated vegetarian kitchen. Now coming to the food itself—the quality was extremely disappointing. When I questioned the naan because it looked more like pizza bread than authentic Indian naan, the management’s response was that it was prepared by a Pakistani chef and therefore would be different. I found this explanation completely unprofessional. The moment I took my first bite, I raised concerns about the taste and quality and requested that the order be cancelled. The staff initially agreed that the quality was not up to the mark, yet I was still charged the full bill amount of 875 Baht. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the management. Instead of addressing the issue, they kept blaming us and insisted that everyone else liked the food except us. They were unwilling to accept any criticism or acknowledge the concerns we raised. If this is how they handle customer feedback and maintain transparency, it raises serious questions about the authenticity of the restaurant and its practices. My advice to fellow Indian travelers: stay away from such misleading establishments. There are plenty of authentic Indian restaurants near Indra Bazaar that offer much better food, service, and a genuinely Indian dining experience. We left an honest review on Grab because the quality and quantity of the food were disappointing. Instead of addressing the issue constructively, the owner called and used rude language. Customer feedback should be respected, not met with unprofessional behavior. When you check all the reviews, the restaurant's replies are always aggressive. They don't even seem to feel regret or apologize. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Price per person: ฿200–400
