Since my review went missing I’ll repost. I will keep checking for this review and repost if it’s gone - deleted by manager.Siriporn P. I was searching around CentralWorld for a quality sushi option and came across Honmono Sushi. I was quite excited to try it, especially since I had just completed teeth whitening and needed to stick to non-staining foods like plain fish. I ordered a selection of white fish, salmon, and shrimp. Unfortunately, when the sushi arrived, I realised that soy sauce had already been brushed onto the pieces by default. Under normal circumstances, I would have appreciated this preparation. However, given my situation, I was unable to consume it. I politely requested for the order to be changed to plain sushi without sauce. At first, the request was not well received. The manager, Siriporn P, appeared visibly displeased and communicated (via translation) that if the items were changed, there would be a charge. The tone and facial expression made the interaction uncomfortable. I explained that in many sushi establishments, soy sauce is either served separately or applied upon request, and that I simply needed the sushi without it. Despite this, the response remained unaccommodating. Fortunately, the sushi chef stepped in and kindly prepared a replacement, absorbing the cost, which we greatly appreciated. While the food quality itself was excellent (5/5), and the chef’s service recovery was commendable (5/5), server (5/5), the service experience with the manager was disappointing and detracted from the overall visit. 0/5. The ordering staff were understanding but appeared constrained by her action. Her face was also super black. I hope there can be further staff training to ensure a more customer-centric approach, especially for a restaurant of this reputation. Overall: 1/5 — great food, but inconsistent service experience. Oh and it cost me 4000 baht for these. You be the judge. I am quite a consistent Google food reviewer. The manager needs to be sacked. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
