This is definitely a local Thai BBQ/hot pot spot, and honestly we were hesitant to try it because of the Google reviews. But every time we walked by it was packed with locals, so we figured there had to be a reason. The restaurant itself is pretty basic, but the food was good, the selection was solid, and the price was hard to believe cheap. If you’re looking for an authentic local experience rather than a polished tourist restaurant, this is a great place to try. One thing I would caution other visitors about, especially foreigners or anyone with food allergies, is to be very mindful of cross-contamination. Since you’re cooking your own food at the table, it’s easy to accidentally use the same chopsticks, tongs, or plate for both raw and cooked food. That’s on the diner, not the restaurant, but it’s something to pay very close attention to if unless you’re a pro with this style of eating. We had a great meal and didn’t get sick, but we made a point to keep our raw and cooked utensils and plates separate throughout the meal - which was a little bit of a challenge because we weren’t used to this style of dining - and because they are so busy they weren’t too helpful on the instructions so you have to kind of observe what other people are doing. Overall, it’s not a fancy place, but for the quality, authenticity, and price, we think it deserves five stars. Just come in knowing it’s a true local spot and be mindful of food handling while you cook. Lastly make sure you have a couple hours to eat as it takes a while to cook.
