A quick lunch run found myself discovering this quaint little canteen on the ground floor of Lion Industrial Building. This noodle stall has a variety of dishes on their menu including lor mee (on Mondays), prawn noodles, claypot noodles and the minced pork varieties. The bak chor mee ordered, mee pok and mee kia, were both well-cooked and springy. Both came with generous helpings of ingredients, with the liver standing out for being tender and well-marinated. I also tried the dry prawn noodles. Again, the ingredients were abundant and noodles well cooked. The accompanying soup was also robust and flavourful. I learnt that the owner of the stall has been plying his trade here for over four dacades and remains chirpy as he greets an army of regulars at lunchtime. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The mini wok noodles were a delicious and satisfying meal. The portion size was generous, and I was particularly impressed with the variety of toppings – lots of fish cakes, pork bits, crab sticks, and a perfectly cooked egg. Excellent value for the price!
