以前向かいのタイ料理屋に入った時に気になってました。今日は突然思い出し餃子ディナーにすることに決定。勘が当たり、無茶苦茶レベルの高いオーセンティックな水餃子でした。具もさることながら、皮も素晴らしい！感激して調子に乗って計20個も食べてしまいましたとさ。中でもspring onion & pork dumplingが美味しかった！こんな素晴らしい水餃子を作れるのは中国東北地方の人達に違いない！と思い聞いてみると吉林省の出身でした。さすが 来年の旧正月はここの餃子で決まり！. Some food spots don’t look flashy from the outside, but once you step in and take the first bite, you instantly know you found something special. Hua Jie Dumpling is exactly that kind of place. A small and humble shop that’s honestly easy to miss if you walk past too quickly; but definitely worth stopping for. The dumplings here are the real highlight. Everything is handmade fresh in the shop, and you can really taste the difference from the first bite. The dumpling skin had a nice chewy texture without being too thick, while the fillings were juicy and well-seasoned. What I liked most is that they offer many different flavours instead of just the usual pork options, so there’s quite a bit to explore if you come back again. The boiled dumplings were simple but super comforting, especially paired with the vinegar and ginger dipping sauce. Very homestyle, very authentic, and the kind of food that feels satisfying without being overly heavy. We also tried the handmade noodles, which had a great springy texture and soaked up the sauce really well. The wok hei flavour came through nicely, making it surprisingly addictive. Their stir-fried vegetables were another underrated dish; fresh, crunchy, and balanced out the richer items perfectly. One thing I appreciated was how everything tasted very handmade and old-school. Nothing felt overly commercialized or mass-produced. Just straightforward comfort food done properly. The atmosphere is casual and simple, but that’s part of the charm. Feels like one of those hidden neighbourhood spots locals quietly keep coming back to. Prices are also quite reasonable considering the portion sizes and handmade quality. Would definitely come back again to try more dumpling flavours. If you enjoy authentic handmade Chinese comfort food and hidden gem type eateries, this place is worth checking out before it gets too popular. Very authentic Chinese restaurant. The Spanish Mackeral dumplings are super rare and there are many other flavors to choose from. They are also very accommodating of requests to use less oil, msg etc. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
