the signature black color of the jjajang sauce comes from fermented black beans, not squid ink! its really not invented by koreans, but popularized by chinese korean immigrants in korea. in fact every province in china has their own version of jjajang myun… even some made with more common brown beans sauce. I’ve tasted about 8 different versions traveling’bout in china n korea and understand why the korean chinese version took off. Now this unassuming place in this massive mall does a decent version, including the medium ‘jaengban’ style sharable by 2 peeps. its good, not extraordinary. the frequently accompanied tang su yook pork was also good, not extraordinary. ovp? just ok, it wasn’t cheap nor expensive. overall it was a satisfying meal, possibly the best version in pattaya. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿200–400 Vegetarian options: nope Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: can get busy at peak hours in weekends Kid-friendliness: yes but they will make a mess, covered in black bean sauce
