Ichiban Boshi at Alexandra Retail Centre is a reliable choice when you’re in the mood for a comfortable Japanese meal in a pleasant dining environment. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of booth seating that makes it suitable for both solo diners and small groups I tried the Don Don Wazen Set Meal, which came with a satisfying variety of items including salmon don, oyster egg don, tempura, chawanmushi, miso soup, and fruit for dessert. The highlight was the variety - it felt like getting to sample several different Japanese dishes in a single meal. The salmon was fresh, the tempura was light and crispy, and the chawanmushi was smooth and comforting Service was prompt, and the overall dining experience was relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant also offers a selection of takeaway items and Japanese snacks near the entrance, which adds a nice touch The main downside is the price. Great casual Japanese restaurant with a huge variety of dishes. Contain great set meals that offer a huge variety at a reasonable price. Relatively quiet place on weekends. Came during dinner time on a Saturday. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The nabe took forever to boil and the flame was not strong enough. My fellow dinners finished their meals and I couldn’t even get my soup to boil. They probably shouldn’t offer this dish if they cannot deliver it. The meat was also of poor quality with the yellow fat. Overall not what I expect. Do not recommend. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
