I went to this Ichiran branch a few months ago around 11 PM, almost midnight. The line outside didn’t look too bad, so I thought, “Sure, why not try it once?” Turns out the outdoor line is just the trailer. The full movie starts after you walk in. Step into the first floor and—surprise—there’s another line. It continues from the lobby, up the stairs, and all the way to the second floor. If you drive by and think, “Oh the wait isn’t crazy,” don’t worry it is. When we finally reached the second floor, we got the full Ichiran experience: one side is a souvenir shop selling instant noodle packs and merch, and the other side is basically a “hall of fame” you’re required to walk through to reach the restaurant. Yes, famous signatures, shirts, order lists and me thinking: Why am I touring a museum when I just wanted ramen? After the long wait, we got seated—into single-person cubicles with tiny narrow tables. Not exactly family-friendly, unless your family’s idea of bonding is silently eating in separate booths like you’re clocking in for a night shift. And the ramen? Honestly, it wasn’t even close to worth the wait or the price. The ramen was shockingly bland for the price. The red sauce didn’t rescue it. I’ve had instant noodles from a convenience store that tasted better and required zero stair-climbing. Overall, this place feels like it’s running on hype and “trending vibes,” not food. 1 star, and I would absolutely give 0 if that option existed. Not coming back.
