I recently went on a neighborhood food hunt in Tai Kok Tsui with a friend and stumbled upon this gem called "IL CIBO ITALIAN RESTAURANT". Our lunch bill came to a grand total of just $216 HKD with absolutely no service charge! Getting a full steak course for $108 per person in Hong Kong nowadays is honestly an absolute steal. Complimentary Soup & Bread:. We started our meal with the complimentary soup and bread basket. The creamy soup was comforting, garnished beautifully with cracked black pepper and fresh herbs. The lightly toasted bread slices were perfect for dipping into the soup or enjoying with the classic olive oil and balsamic vinegar pairing available on the table. Sirloin Steak:. The Sirloin Steak arrived with gorgeous, distinct cross-hatched grill marks. Cooked to a beautiful pink inside, it offered a satisfyingly firm, beefy chew. The rich peppercorn gravy served on the side, along with a dab of yellow mustard, complemented the savory meat perfectly. Rib Eye Steak:. My choice was the Rib Eye Steak, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. Thanks to its higher marbling, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy. This plate also came loaded with a generous mountain of golden, crispy French fries. Hot Coffee:. To round off the meal, we enjoyed the complimentary hot coffees. The coffee boasted a nice layer of crema and a robust aroma. It was served alongside a separate small pitcher of frothed milk and sugar packets, allowing us to customize the richness to our liking. Verdict: While the decor is cozy and fuss-free, the sheer value for money and the satisfying quality of the food make it stand out.
