Chamarin is hands down our favorite restaurant in Koh Samui. Mya, the owner and only cook, is one of the most generous, loving people we’ve ever met. Eating here truly feels like sitting in someone’s home while a loved one cooks for you. The food is incredible. Vegan, vegetarian, or anything else - just tell Mya what you’d like and she’ll put her whole heart into making it for you. Every single dish she made for us was amazing. Her family is just as lovely, always smiling and making you feel welcome. We’re digital nomads and during our entire stay in Koh Samui we came to Chamarin every single night. That says it all. If you’re looking for more than just great food - if you want to connect with wonderful people and truly feel the local Koh Samui community - this is the place. Thank you so much Mya. We’ve never felt more at home in a restaurant than at Mya’s hidden gem. Once we discovered her place, we came back every single night. The food is not only cheap but incredible, and the Pad Thai is hands down the best I’ve ever had. You can tell Mya pours her soul into every dish and genuinely cares that you love it. But what makes this place truly special is Mya herself. She’s one of the warmest, most loving people we’ve met. It’s clear we’re not the only ones who feel this way - her regulars keep coming back daily. Over the course of our visits, she and the staff became more than hosts - they became friends and good people to have a conversation with. Can’t wait to come to Koh Samui to eat at Mya‘s place again!
