Maybe it's because I've been drinking alcohol since I was young, but I've been going to bars and pubs to the point where I'm sick of it. When I was in my 20s, I was very pretentious and went to fancy, expensive, and pretentious bars. In my 30s, I worked as a bartender at a quiet, sophisticated, high-huddle bar, and I had a good relationship with a stranger who happened to be sitting at the table next to me, maintaining each other's etiquette. It seems like he enjoyed the bravado of making small talk. Recently, my inclination has changed a lot, and I like places like Golden Street in Japan (no, no, that's just the atmosphere), or Koenji, or Shinjuku, or a shabby bar with three or four chairs that no one knows in places I don't even know the name of in Kyushu. When I talk about these bars, bars, and stores, most of my insider friends say, “Ah!!!” Hipjiro!!! ah!!! Seongsu-dong!!! Mangwon-dong!!! There are a lot of bars like that in that corner of the neighborhood!!!> It may be like this, but it is not a store that is so conspicuously commercial, it is just a store that has been there for about 10 years without any change, and it seems like it should be there, silently and naturally. That was the case with Itachi, who was introduced by local friends in Busan. Well, the snacks may be expensive, the alcohol may be expensive, and the owner may not be friendly. But of course it's a place where I feel like I have to be there and be sitting there at that time. It's not a good place to have delicious snacks, good drinks, or go on a date. It's just a neighborhood bar, but it's a comfortable place. It's unfortunate that these days, it's hard to find places like this in Seoul or even in the countryside.
