Not Your Average Mexican Spot! This One Hits Different Walk in through the garden entrance and you already know this place isn’t playing by the rules. Green, open, effortless cool, it sets the tone before you even see a menu. Step inside and boom: clean, modern, contemporary design that feels curated, not forced. No clutter, no clichés, just straight-up style. The service? On point. Friendly without being fake, attentive without hovering. You feel welcome, not rushed , like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Now let’s talk food, because this is where things really pop. The menu doesn’t recycle the same old Mexican classics, it reinvents them. New takes on tacos, next-level tortillas, fajitas that actually bring heat and flavor instead of just noise. Everything tastes fresh, bold, and intentional. And the guacamole? Dangerous. Creamy, punchy, perfectly balanced, the kind you keep ordering “just one more” of. Add the sides, the sauces, the extras, it all works together like a well-produced track. This place respects Mexican roots but isn’t stuck in the past. It’s modern, confident, and flavorful without trying too hard. Great vibes

Ixchel did a great job in the design of the whole space. On the evening I visited, its mini frontyard was lit with golden lights. The elevated walkway to the entrance gives a mytical feel and the sturdy stones creates the atmosphere of the Mexican mythology. The inside if bright. The theme colour is deep green with its walls decorated with green plants. My friend and I ordered salmon tostadas and pork carnitas. The tostada wrap is crunchy coated with savoury sesame oil. The salmon and avocado slices were super fresh. The sous vide por carnitas was very soft and the veggetables were very fresh too contained a lot of most content, seemed like right out of the fridge. But I give only 3 stars cause the portions are way too small for what they charge. The shrinkflation is real at Ixchel, I thought I was sampling the food, not dining. I'd rather eat at another place for the same price where I don't have to worry if I'll be full after the tacos. There are plenty of other options for the same price. But all in all, this place has so much potential. The hall team was all very attentive and kind. I really appreciated everyone making efforts and their gentle personalities. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Ixchel and wish them the best and success. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
