We had an amazing experience organizing our daughter’s 6th birthday party here! The staff were so kind and professional, and they really listened to everything we wanted to make the day perfect. The backdrop, food, and venue were all impeccable — everything looked and felt so magical. All our guests kept raving about how beautiful the party was, and our little girl had the time of her life! Looking around for a new restaurant to try and found this place. From the outside we could already see how nicely it was decorated. You can tell they really put a lot of heart into it. They describe themselves as family friendly, and they truly mean it. There is a huge play area for children with different themes, and they are very careful about cleanliness. Everyone has to take their shoes off before going in, which makes it feel safe and hygienic for kids. Went during the lunch period. We chose the scallop angel hair pasta with XO lobster sauce. It was seriously well made. The scallops were big and juicy, and there were crab roe on top as well. The pasta was served piping hot and had a lovely firm texture. Also ordered spaghetti bolognaise. It might sound like a simple dish, but they used fresh tomatoes which made it taste light and refreshing. For drinks, we had lemon tea which was nicely presented with mint leaves on top. It looked beautiful and tasted fresh. We also ordered an iced matcha milk tea. It was not overly sweet, which I really liked. The milk flavour was rich and smooth, and the matcha was fragrant and well balanced. For dessert, we tried the chocolate cake with roasted green tea. It was very rich and interesting in texture, with crunchy bits inside. The cream was generous but not messy, and there was dark chocolate at the bottom and even gold leaf on top. They said it was homemade and it honestly tasted amazing. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for families. We visited Jello & Mellow for the first time as a party of two families: 4 adults and 2 babies under 1 year old. The location is undeniably good – convenient in Quarry Bay, easy to access near Taikoo area. However, the venue itself is quite small, which became a major issue when it got crowded. What started as a pleasant outing quickly turned frustrating and stressful due to the complete lack of control over the play area. A large group of foreign adults with older kids was initially blocked at the entrance for some time because they were already being very loud and disruptive. There was even a violent incident where a big kid cried, threw, and smashed a toy right by the entrance – this scared our young babies terribly as we were seated very close by. The staff seemed to try preventing them from entering at first, but ultimately let them in anyway. We still don’t understand why. Once inside, these kids behaved like absolute monsters – running around wildly, banging everything, dominating the entire play space. It became so dangerous that other children, including ours, couldn’t even approach the area safely. They climbed on seats, windows, and anything they could reach, creating chaos everywhere. The staff attempted to intervene but were completely unsuccessful and ineffective. We felt the environment was super unsafe, especially for our very young babies who are too little for rough play. What’s even more shocking is that a staff member casually mentioned these were returning customers who cause trouble every single time they come. Yet the venue still allows them back, knowing full well they’ll disrupt and ruin the experience for everyone else. Hearing this was incredibly frustrating – if they’re guaranteed to cause problems, why prioritize them over families like ours who just want a calm, safe place to enjoy? As a result, we couldn’t really use the facilities at all. Our babies were frightened, we were on edge the whole time, and the visit was not enjoyable in the slightest. It was a complete waste of money and time (for us its HKD$250+ per person for 2 hours). We are very disappointed and will never return. Not worth it for families with little ones.
